Skin Guide - Acne / Problematic Skin

Acne and problematic skin occurs when the tiny hair follicles in your skin become plugged with sebum, an oily substance that lubricates your hair and skin, and dead skin cells.

Once the skin is clogged it becomes easy for bacteria to trigger inflammation and infection, which then results in more severe breakouts.

Acne can take the form of blackheads, whiteheads, pimples, nodules and painful cysts.

It can occur at any age, but it is most common amongst teenagers. It is important to keep skin clean, exfoliated and balanced to keep acne breakouts under control and to a minimum.
