FAQs

How to manage and regulate oily skin?

It is important to be consistent and gentle when trying to regulate oily skin. Trying to dry it out is counterproductive and will only exacerbate problems. Regular cleansing, exfoliation, appropriate moisturising and serums, combined with natural sun care will help to manage oily skin and keep it in balance to avoid inflammation and breakouts.

Is foaming cleanser good for oily skin?

Foaming cleansers are excellent for oily skin specifically due to their pore-penetrating capabilities. They will go deep into the pores to release and remove excess sebum and the dirt it traps.

Is face serum good for oily skin?

Serums are perfect for oily skin. They are lightweight and viscose and specifically designed to be easily absorbed into the skin rather than sitting on the skin. They penetrate deeply and can target specific skin issues. Serums that are excellent for oily skin include those that contain AHA acids to break up gluey dead skin cells and clean out excess sebum, Vitamin A, which speeds up cell turnover to help unclog pores, and salicylic acid which is antiinflammatory and can calm breakouts while breaking down dead skin cells.

Is hyaluronic acid good for oily acne prone skin?

Hyaluronic acid is good for all skin types. It is a natural component of the skin and so most skin types can tolerate it very well. It locks in moisture and helps other ingredients absorb more easily, but it won’t clog pores or leave a heavy residue on already oily skin.
