Raised in the wilds of Western Australia, Vanessa Megan’s deep connection to nature shaped her path. After modelling exposed her to synthetic skincare, a friend’s advice—“Don’t put on your skin what you wouldn’t eat”—inspired her to dive into biochemistry.
She uncovered how many products use harsh chemicals and created Vanessa Megan Naturaceutical Skincare: natural, effective formulas with no fillers or synthetics. Her brand is about clean beauty, honesty, and empowering people to make better choices.

The Origin of "Vanessa Megan": The Strong Butterfly
The name "Vanessa Megan" holds a story that’s as unique and meaningful as the products themselves. Long before the skincare range came to life, Vanessa’s dad would affectionately call her his “strong butterfly.” For years, this nickname was a sweet mystery to her, fluttering through childhood as a gentle term of endearment.
It wasn’t until one quiet moment that her father revealed the beautiful reason behind those words. He explained that "Vanessa" is actually the name of a butterfly genus, symbolising transformation, grace, and natural beauty. "Megan", on the other hand, means "strong" or "mighty." Together, her names perfectly captured the essence of resilience and delicate power—the ability to transform and adapt, yet remain strong through every challenge.
This personal story became the inspiration for Vanessa Megan’s philosophy. Just like a butterfly’s metamorphosis, every product in the range is crafted to help you transform naturally and beautifully, while celebrating your own inner strength.

2001
How it started
When Vanessa’s best friend Mel told her, "You should never put anything on your skin you couldn't eat," it inspired Vanessa to begin her journey into creating non-toxic skincare solutions.
2002
First product created
At a time when most products were loaded with synthetic and harmful ingredients, Vanessa created a natural, alcohol-free fragrance for her sister. The fragrance, originally named Essential Blend, is now known as Monarch – one of our best sellers today.
2009
Vanessa Megan Skincare launched
After years of perfecting her formulations, Vanessa officially launched her skincare line, focusing on organic, toxin-free, products formulated with 100% natural ingredients. The collection, featuring 150 products, includes skincare, baby care, home body, and men's grooming essentials.With a brand promise of "You should never put anything on your skin you couldn’t eat," Vanessa was dedicated to educating customers about the impact of synthetic ingredients on their skin.
2013
The final chapter of the markets
From 2009 to 2013, Vanessa showcased and promoted her brand at the Bondi markets, marking the final chapter of her market journey.
2017
First spa secured
We made our spa debut with Earth & Skin in Queensland, being the first to stock our products.
2019
Time for a rebrand
After a decade, Vanessa Megan underwent a rebrand, to focus more on well-being with a more targeted and holistic approach to skin health.
2020
First luxury spa secured
Vanessa's friend Julie introduced our fragrances to Gwinganna Lifestyle Retreat. After meeting Spa Manager Mel, who believed in our formulations, they requested not only to stock our products but also to develop signature facials using our range.This partnership sparked our signature facials menu.
2023
Launch of Metamorphosis by Vanessa Megan
Formulated for peri- to post-menopausal skin, Metamorphosis by Vanessa Megan launched as one of Australia’s first natural, targeted menopausal skincare lines.The range hit the ground running, with our Beyond Night Cream winning the Global Innovation Award and four additional Organic Beauty Awards.
2024
